Arts & Business (A&B) Cymru is hosting its next Art @ event at Manor Wildlife Parc, St. Florence, tomorrow (Saturday).

The initiative aims to make the arts accessible to all and celebrate the talent that exists across the whole of Wales. Art @ the Zoo will welcome almost 300 representatives of business, the arts and the local community. The family friendly event will feature a variety of visual and performance arts activity, as well as giving guests access to parts of the wildlife park not usually seen by the public.

At the event, Manor Wildlife Parc’s owner, Anna Ryder Richardson, will launch her new charity The Nature Foundation. Originally known for her work as a TV presenter and designer, Anna is now a dedicated conservationist. She has set up the new charity to raise awareness of vital conservation issues and educate people of all ages about the need to take steps to secure the future of our planet.

Art @ the Zoo is the third in A&B Cymru’s Art @ series, which stages events in unusual venues across Wales. Previous Art @ events have taken place at Cardiff Airport and the Bay Studios in Swansea.

Rachel Jones, chief executive of Arts & Business Cymru, said: “I am thrilled that we are staging Art @ the Zoo with Manor Wildlife Parc. It’s truly wonderful to have the opportunity to celebrate the arts while raising the profile of such a special place. The conservation-led zoo does incredible work to secure the future of endangered species - right here in the heart of Pembrokeshire! The event is set to be a real celebration of many special things that Wales has to offer and I hope it will be a true reflection of just what can happen when business and the arts come together in true partnership.”

“The Art @ initiative builds on the success of our highly popular Art @ the Senedd, which was launched 15 years ago. We are still running Art @ the Senedd events, but supplementing them with others in more unusual venues.”

A&B Cymru is a membership organisation and charity that specialises in bringing business and the arts together for their mutual benefit. Jointly funded by the Welsh Government and the Arts Council of Wales, it delivers a wide range of tailored programmes and services to businesses of all sizes and in all sectors.

Art @ the Zoo takes place tomorrow at Manor Wildlife Parc in St. Florence.
