Sir, I visited Tenby on February 4 and parked in the Rectory Fields Car Park, paying for three hours. I have since been fined for being in the deserted car park for 19 minutes too long. I was not aware that my entry and exit time was monitored and as it was longer than the time on the ticket purchased, I was fined. I returned to the car within the ticket allocation, but then drove to the edge to look at Caldey in the fading light; I also dawdled getting my ticket, my mistake. I paid the £35 fine. We spent £168 around town, the only takings for some retailers, and we have be visiting for the last 40 years. I will not be back and will no longer be advising people to visit Pembrokeshire, if this is the money-grabbing mentality of the area. Name and address supplied
