Molara - 'The Voice' of Zion Train, brings her own band to the Queen's Hall today (Friday), with an all- star line-up.

The band project is an ambition fulfilled for Molara, who has hand-picked the players and the songs to reflect her own love of many different types of music - all with a truly soulful feeling. Soul, Reggae, Blues and African influences are all there in her heart and in her music.

Some new Molara songs, some radical covers and some old Zion Train classics with a new twist are in the set.

The players include Ed 'Headmix' on bass, Paul 'Dubmerge' on drums, fresh local talent Jez on guitar, and Nuala from 'Headmix' on violin and backing vocals.

Molara and her band made a special guest appearance on the Lost Vagueness stage at this year's Glastonbury Festival and got a fabulous reception.

With new songs and a voice that has graced stages all over the world, Molara will bring vocal magic into the mix for a dancey set that that will surprise and delight all Zion Train fans and anyone who wants to be at the start of something special.

In support, 'Cod' from the band will spin the wheels of steel in a Powersteppers set of reggae and dub to get the dancers moving.

Tickets are available from Span Arts on 01834 869323 at £8 and £7 for concessions. Advance booking is advised.
