An extensive air, sea and land search was sparked on Sunday morning after a pensioner was reported missing.
The alarm was raised at approximately 6 am when it was discovered that the man, who has not been named, had disappeared from his home in Tenby.
Police officers on foot and mobile units, dog handlers and the force helicopter, together with the assistance of local coastguards, were subsequently tasked to help locate the man.
Tenby's inshore lifeboat was also launched to carry out a coastline search.
The search was eventuallybrought to a close at approximately 11 am when the man was located safe and well within the town. He was, however, taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
