Police are making inquiries after the body of a man was discovered in a motor vehicle between Jeffreyston and Cresselly on Tuesday morning.

Following information from a member of the public, police officers attended at a disused lane leading to a derelict cottage called Greenway, situated close to a minor unclassified road approximately half-a-mile from Freestone Cross, Cresselly, at 11.30 am.

There they found the body of Mr. Michael Tony Brabon, of 12 Longmains, Monkton, in a Land Rover motor vehicle.

Mr. Brabon, who was aged 29, had been reported missing on Monday after members of his family became concerned as to his whereabouts.

Police then mounted extensive inquiries in an effort to locate him.

HM Coroner for Pembrokeshire, Mr. Michael Howells, has been notified of the death and next of kin have also been informed.

"Police inquiries into the incident are continuing and a report is being compiled for HM Coroner," a police spokesman said. "There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death at this present time."
