Coastguards were alerted during the early hours of last Friday morning, when a 15-year-old girl went missing at Morfa Bychan, near Gilman Point, between Pendine and Marros Sands. The girl, who had been camping nearby with a group of people, was reported missing by a group member who managed to contact Milford Haven Coastguard Station. "It appears the girl had wandered off down the track, trying to receive a signal on her mobile phone, and had lost her way," said a coastguard spokesperson. The girl was found safely soon after, though, sleeping in the area, before coastguards or police were needed.
