Fans of Minecraft will be in their element this February as a number of local libraries host sessions devoted to the popular pastime.

Libraries in Narberth, Newport, St. Davids and Pembroke will be offering free Minecraft sessions during the upcoming school holidays.

The sessions will challenge children to create a Minecraft character or scene based on a short story, and will be a great opportunity to meet new friends, share ideas and learn new tips and tricks from a selection of Minecraft books.

Children can bring along their own tablets if they are already using Minecraft at home or there are a limited number of iPads available for anyone who is new to the world of Minecraft.

All of the sessions are suitable for children aged eight and over, with parents and guardians very welcome to join in the fun!

Booking is essential due to the limited availability of equipment. Refreshments will be provided.

The Minecraft sessions are as follows:

Monday, February 19 (1-2 pm) - St. Davids Library; Wednesday, February 21 (1-2 pm) - Pembroke Library and Information Centre; Thursday, February 22 (1-2 pm) - Newport Community Library; Friday, February 23 (12-1 pm) - Narberth Community Library.
