Fund raising for the Mia Cystic Fibrosis Appeal continues as friends and relatives rally to the cause.
The appeal was set up by Chris and Merilee Phillips, of Templeton, whose eight-month-old daughter, Mia, has this life-threatening condition.
A quiz, organised by Tom Thomas, of Narberth, raised £112, which includes the £10 prize returned to the fund by the winner, Mrs. Marjorie Phillips, who lives in Templeton.
When Narberth couple Ralph and Margaret Phillips celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary they asked for donations instead of gifts. This generous gesture brought in £162, while Jeans for Genes Day at St. Oswald's VA School raised £200. A further contribution of £130 came from five young people from Milford Haven, Ben Clarke, Rhiannon Tucker and Katie, Bradley and Jamie Barrett, who were sponsored for their 10-hour trampoline relay bounce.
These sums have contributed to a magnificent £2,500 which has recently been paid into the Appeal Fund and, with the Pembrokeshire branch of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, Chris and Merilee are grateful to everyone who has supported the appeal.
