Sir,

I own a 1959 red MGA sports car, registration 211 FDE, which spent its early years in the Tenby area, its first four owners living in Tenby, Laugharne and Narberth.

Monday, September 7, will be the 50th anniversary of the car's registration and I am planning to mark the occasion by driving the car back to Tenby.

I am curious to know if any of the early owners still live in the area and might like to see the car again. I wondered if you could publish this letter in your newspaper as a potential means of me making contact.

The owners were: Mr. W. E. G. Lewis, 20 The Maudlins, Tenby - September 1959 to January 1962; Mr. R. J. Bowen, Tadil, Laugharne - January 1962 to January 1966; Mr. A. M. Waters, Sunny Mead, Templeton, Narberth - February to December 1966; Mr. Victor Lynch, Hillside, Llawhaden, Narberth - December 1966 to January 1968.

As a possible memory jogger, when I purchased the car in 1968, it had a Wales St. Christopher badge inside the driver's door, which I have always kept as a link with its past. Someone may recognise this.

I would be grateful if any of your readers has any information as to the whereabouts of the individuals concerned.

They can contact me by email at [email protected]">[email protected] or by telephoning me on 01787 222702.

Roger Martin,
