Despite the atrocious wet weather, Sunday saw 15 MG's of the Pembrokeshire MG Car Club take part in their annual St. David's Day Run. Having assembled at the car park at Penblewin, the MG's followed a route through the lanes around Templeton, Blackpool Mill, Martletwy, Landshipping and Lawrenny, before arriving at the Control Tower at Carew Cheriton. Here they were made very welcome by Deric Brook and the enthusiastic volunteers. The talk given by Deric and John was fascinating and the quality of the displays in the Control Tower a credit to their dedication in restoring this piece of Carew Cheriton history. Whilst there, the volunteers were asked to choose which MG they would most like to own and this year the car they chose was the 1937 MG VA belonging to Trevor Lewis. Following the visit, the club drove to the Cartwheel at Amroth for an excellent Sunday lunch. Pictured in the photograph are some of the members in the main operations room of the Control Tower.
