FEATURED in this photograph taken of local Land Army Girls working in Pembrokeshire back in 1943/44 is Doris Curtis, of The Green, Lydstep (seen bottom row, second from left). Eighty-six-year-old Doris was featured in the 'Wales At War' with John Humphries series which was screened on BBC1 Wales last Tuesday evening, giving an account of her memories in Pembrokeshire during World War II. An interview with Doris can also be found in the 'Wales At War' book written by Phil Carradice. The photograph also features Frances Webb (pictured top left), of Jameston, with both ladies remaining friends ever since.
