Narberth Athletic eventually ended as comfortable winners after the Narberth pack got on top in the second half to retain the Gareth Edwards Memorial Trophy.
Athletic led 8-5 at the interval after Crymych had drawn first blood through a well-worked try by outside-half Gafin Thomas after eight minutes.
The visitors were unable to convert. and Athletic clawed back three points with a penalty from number 10 James Davies, before winger Tim Plumb touched down for an unconverted try, after a defence-splitting break by centre Rupert Dunn.
In the opening 15 minutes of the second half, both James Davies and Gafin Thomas were on target with penalty attempts, before Narberth's superior pack wore down the opposition,
Number eight Anthony Griffiths, who had an excellent game, scored after 62 minutes when he was taken over the line following the momentum created by a powerful drive by the Narberth pack.
James Davies was unable to convert, but minutes later he extended the lead with a short range penalty kick.
Centre Rory Bennett added a try, converted by Davies, and lock Murray Phillips made the win more convincing with an unconverted try.
The Narberth ground staff worked hard to get the ground into shape for the match after the recent inclement weather and the players of both teams deserve to be congratulated for braving the elements and for endeavouring to play such attractive rugby in difficult conditions.
The match was sponsored by the Narberth Athletic Former Players. who enjoyed socialising with old team-mates, after the match together with current and former players of both sides, as well as supporters from both clubs, in what was an excellent occasion.
