Through the columns of your 'paper I would like to thank everyone who helped make last Wednesday's Firemen's Carnival an outstanding success.
A large crowd of people visited the Fire Station during the day and enjoyed the activities on offer, before the lively parade took to the streets, ending a memorable day in a blaze of colour.
Particular thanks go to all the businesses who donated sponsorship, paricularly our main sponsor Kiln Park; those who donated raffle prizes; people who provided lorries for the floats; the ladies of St. Johns Church who made Welsh cakes; Charles Dale and the Mayor of Tenby, Clr. Mrs. Christine Brown; together with all those who entered such a fantastic array of floats and entries in the walking classes.
It was a lot of hard work, but thanks to a super effort by everyone who got involved, we all had a good day and hope to have raised a good sum of money for the Benevolent Fund.
