MEET the Tudor Merchant and his wife alias Greg Grist (volunteer) and Alyson Bush (custodian).

The Tudor Merchant's costume is new for this season and was made by local seamstress Rhian Morgan.

The costume was purchased using money raised by the staff of the Tudor Merchant's House via the National Trust's property raffle.

Visitors to the Tudor Merchant's House on Bank Holiday Monday, May 25, for 'A Taste of Tudor Times', will  be able to see the staff in costume and learn more about how the Tudors lived their daily lives.

There'll be a chance to taste some food, hear how herbs were used, and families can try a special quiz.

The event will run from from 11 am - 4.30 pm. Normal admission applies. National Trust members and under fives free.

The house will be open daily (including Saturday) over the Bank Holiday weekend. For further details, please phone 842279 or visit http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk">www.nationaltrust.org.uk
