AT Buckingham Palace last week, Squadron Leader Richard Howell received an MBE from HRH Prince of Wales.
His MBE was awarded for outstanding contribution to Royal Air Force offensive operations over many years, his unswerving devotion to the service and those who serve within it.
Squadron Leader Howell has been a Tornado navigator for the past 15 years. During his time he has flown 115 operational sorties.
He is currently stationed in Norfolk where he lives with his wife, Helen, and their children Christopher and Sophie.
Richard is the son of Roy and Margaret Howell, of Saundersfoot.
