A boost for shoppers over Christmas, with free parking offered in Pembrokeshire County Council run car parks on every weekend in December, has been praised by Tenby's Mayor.

The move is designed to support town centres by encouraging people to shop locally over Christmas.

Free festive parking will also be extended to Christmas Eve , Christmas Day and Boxing Day, members of Tenby Town Council were told at their meeting on Tuesday night.

"This is excellent news and I hope that the people of Pembrokeshire use the facilities," commented Mayor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane.
