TWENTY-three-year-old Rosie Putwain (pictured) from Tenby is currently attending a maths conference - the sixth annual spring institute - at the maths department at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. A post graduate student at Southampton University, where she is in her second year studying for her PHd, Rosie's trip is being funded by the university. The 10-day conference, which runs until May 14, is on non-commutative geometry and operator algebras. Rosie is the daughter of Trisha and the late Dicky Putwain.
