The annual competition for the Mathias Thomas (Claret) Jug Trophy was held at Tenby Golf Club on Saturday. An event for mixed pairs, the competition attracted a number of entries, with the eventual winners being Sue Griffiths and John Hancock, who returned an excellent score of nett 73. That was two better than the runners-up, Ann Wilks and Fred Wilks, with finished on nett 75. Only one pair managed to record a two, namely Heather Morgan and Mervyn Tucker, while the bag draw was won by Ann and David Blackmore.
