Last Friday saw the Annual Masters Cup take place in the Narberth Darts League, with last year's top players out to win the coveted title. Although there were 10 players absent from the designated 32, it didn't stop it from being a very exciting night. Losing quarter-finalists were Steve Pallas (RAOB A), Adam Kelly (Parcylan A) and Neil and Cheryl Jolly (Stanley Arms). Losing semi-finalists were Ray Spencer (Taf) and last year's winner Chris Jenkins (Taf). The final saw Kim Llewellyn (Taf) take on Jeff Jones (RFC A) and it was Jeff, who had been in brilliant form all night, who took the match by three legs to nil. Achievements on the night came from Adam Kelly 20 darts, Steve Pallas 20 darts, Kim Llewellyn 21 and 19 darts and a 180, Ray Spencer 2 x 21 darts and 2 x 180, Chris Jenkins 21 and 18 darts and a 90 out and finally Jeff Jones with superb darts, including 21, 20, 4 x18, 17 and 13-darters, plus a 180, and out shots of 100, 112 and 120. Unfortunately, these don't count towards the league. However you would have thought that after that performance he could have managed a smile for the camera! Many thanks to the staff of the RAOB Club.
