Emmanuel Gospel Church was founded in 2003, the building itself was built in the '70s and belonged to Penuel Baptist Chapel (writes J.F.). However, it was purchased in 2002 by Jonathan Fiddy and his wife Debbie Fiddy and made available to the community. In recent years, the building has been in need of repair.

We are happy to announce that after much prayer and practical organisation, a miracle has happened, as funds for a new church roof have come in after a very successful masquerade ball in Heywood Mount Spa Hotel, Tenby, well known for its weddings and functions.

We would like to thank the staff who helped to make the night a very enjoyable one, especially front-of-house manager, Adrian Andrews, for doing a fantastic job on the auction, keeping us all entertained and really making it an amusing and enjoyable evening.

Also, a big thank you to all who donated items to the auction of promises, who all played a big part in achieving our goals for the church roof. Some of those people are the Scarlets rugby team, Heatherton, Manor Park, Chelsea FC, and many more.

We'd also like to thank the Mayor and his Mayoress for supporting us in this event, too, as he not only attended, but played a big part in the night with his fantastic dancing. We really appreciated this gesture.

We'd also like to thank the owner of the Heywood Mount Spa Hotel, Dennis Andrews, and his lovely wife Carol, who helped us to organise the event.

Dennis, with his superb expertise in the kitchen, in providing a top class, four-course meal and Carol for her fantastic organising skills which we couldn't have done without.

And local DJ Rob donated his services, free of charge, being a regular at the Heywood Mount Hotel. He did a brilliant job and we would love to thank him for his kindness!
