After an 18-month absence, Clr. Mary Megarry has returned to the National Park fold.

At last Wednesday's meeting of the National Park Authority she was welcomed by the chairman, Clr. Gordon Cawood, who told her: "It's good to have you back."

Clr. Megarry, of Stepaside, was previously one of Pembrokeshire County Council's 10 appointed members on the authority. Changes in the political balance of the authority meant that she had to stand down in 2001.

Following the recent resignation from the Park Authority of Liberal Democrat Clr. Tom Sinclair, Mary Megarry returns in his place, as a member of the same political group on the county council.
