The wedding took place at St. Michaels Church, Pembroke, on Monday - St. Valentine's Day - of Robert Mable and Kirsty Rixon. The groom, a radar operator, is the son of Mrs. G. Smith, while the bride, an adult support worker, is the daughter of Mrs. Maureen Hare, of Little Gates, Pembroke. Given away by her brother, Mr. Dale Hare, the bride was attended by her daughter, Dana Rixon. Best man was Mr. Timothy Mable, groom's brother. The service was conducted by Rev. Tony Turner and the organist was Mrs. M. Howells. An informal reception was held at the couple's home in Pembroke. The couple are spending their honeymoon in the USA and will be making their home at The Green, Pembroke.
