Married at Heywood Mount, Tenby, recently, were Mr. Dean John Mathews and Miss Katy Lee Bamford, both of Steynton. The groom, a plumber, is the eldest son of Wendy Gibbs, of Aberaeron, and Tim Mathews, of Spain, and the bride is the eldest daughter of Sharon Staples, of Steynton, and Steve Bamford, of Neyland. Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory off-the-shoulder dress edged with red satin with an embroidered bodice and train. She carried a bouquet of red roses. The bridesmaids were Hayley Bamford and Lowri Bamford-Lewis (bride's sisters) and Toni Mathews and Sadie Mathews (groom's sisters). The page boy was Tyler Mathews (couple's son). The best man was Martin Mathews (groom's brother) and the ushers were Myles Bamford-Lewis, David Round and Mathew Reynolds. The ceremony was conducted by superintendent registrar, Joy Walker. The couple have made their home in Steynton.
