Pictured following their wedding at St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, are Mr. Mark Alaszewski and Miss Emma Angharad Howell.

The groom, an information officer for a Cardiff charity agency, is the eldest son of Professor and Mrs. Andy Alaszewski, of 1 Whitehall Gardens, St. Dunstan's, Canterbury, while the bride, an associate lecturer at Cardiff University, is the only child of Professor and Mrs. David Howell, of 2 Rhyd yr Helyg, Derwen Fawr, Swansea.

The bride is the granddaughter of Ivor and Vera Howell, of Pleasant Green, Stepaside, with whom she spent a lot of time as a child.

Given away by her father, the bride wore a classic style cream silk dress with train and half veil, which featured a v-neck and bodice decorated in pearls.

Bridesmaids were Anna Dunthorne and Rocio Cifuentes, bride's friends, and Anna Alaszewski.

Best man was the groom's younger brother, Ed Alaszewski.

The service was conducted by Canon Michael Butler and was followed by a reception for over 140 friends and relatives at St. Bride's Hotel, Saundersfoot.

The couple are making their home at Taff's Well, Cardiff.
