Married on Saturday, March 23, at St. Mary's Church, Malpas, Newport, were Mr. David Beeby and Dr. Esther Sharp.

The groom, a development engineer with Renishaw, Wotton-under-Edge, is the son of Paul Beeby and the late Angela Beeby, of Colchester, Essex.

The bride, a conservator with the Science Museum, is the daughter of Roy and Megan Sharp, of Newport, and the granddaughter of Joan Morse and the late Owen Morse, of Tenby.

Given away by her father, the bride was accompanied by three bridesmaids, Roz Wade, Ellen Davies and Claudia Balakrishnan, university friends of the bride and groom.

Best man was Greg Mann, childhood friend of the groom.

The ceremony was followed by a reception at Llansantffraed Court, Abergavenny.
