The wedding took place on August 20, at Malcesine Castle, Lake Garda, of Mr. Martin Fitzgerald and Miss Sara Mountford.

The groom is the only son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Fitzgerald, of West Derby, Liverpool, while the bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Mountford, of Penally.

Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory strapless dress with diamante detail.

Matron-of-honour was the bride's sister, Mrs. Helen Lewis, who wore a strapless pale blue and ivory dress, while the bridesmaids, Jessica and Mollie Lewis (bride's nieces) and Aoife Clarke (groom's niece) all wore ivory dresses.

Best man was Pete Matthews (groom's friend).

After the ceremony, a reception was held at La Pace Restaurant in Malcesine, where numerous guests attended.

The couple will be making their home in Newborough, Lancashire.
