A gloriously sunny day on January 2 greeted the marriage of Mr. Dylan Lloyd Pönisch and Miss Fiona Melissa Taylor.

Dylan is the son of Anne Lloyd Pönisch, of Tenby, and Dr. Herbert Pönisch, of Basel, Switzerland. Fiona is the daughter of Sarah and Timothy Taylor, of Poste Lafayette, Mauritius.

The couple were married by the Rev. Andrew Davies in the St. Nicholas Chapel at St. Mary's Church in Tenby, surrounded by family and friends from the UK, Austria, Germany and Mauritius.

The bride wore a silk and lace champagne coloured MaxMara dress and carried a beautiful bouquet of gold and white orchids.

Simon Lloyd Pönisch, the groom's brother, was best man and Nathalie Townley, the bride's sister, was matron of honour.

The service was followed by a 'bon voyage' party at the St. Bride's Hotel, Saundersfoot.

Dylan and Fiona's new home will be in Mauritius, where a blessing of the marriage and a beach party are planned for December.

The bride placed her bouquet on the memorial window in St. Mary's Church to Dylan's grandfather, the Rev. Chancellor Roland Lloyd Thomas.
