The wedding took place at St. Issell's Church, Saundersfoot, recently, of Mr. Darren Leigh Davies and Miss Lisa Mearns. The groom, a butcher, is the son of Elaine Davies-Jones and Mr. David Jones (step- dad), of Upper Hill Park, Tenby, while the bride, a childminder, is the daughter of Ms. Thelma Mearns, of 62 Vineyard Vale, Valley Road, Saundersfoot. Given away by her mother, the bride looked radiant in a princess line gown in ivory duchess satin, with claret beading and an embossed edge. Bridesmaids Claire Mearns (sister), Rebecca Mearns (sister) and Alison Sharratt (cousin) were dressed in claret A-line beaded gowns to match. Page boy was Jack Mearns-Smith (nephew). Best men were Gavin and Steven Davies (brothers), while ushers were Adam and Dominic Davies and Billy Smith. After the ceremony, which was conducted by Rev. Mr. M. Butler, with Mr. Mike Gulliford at the organ, afternoon and evening receptions were held at BB's, Broadfield Farm. The couple honeymooned in the Canary Islands, and will be making their future home at 8 Green Acre Court, Kingsmoor Road, Kilgetty.
