St. James' Church, Manorbier, was the picturesque setting for the wedding, on Saturday, of Mr. Carl Prest and Miss Charlotte Amber Sutton.

The groom, a lorry driver, is the son of Maureen and the late Daryll Prest, of Church Close, New Road, Kilgetty.

The bride, a hotel manager, is the daughter of Ken and Jennifer Sutton, of The Police House, Lydstep.

Given away by her father, the bride wore an ivory off-the-shoulder dress with encrusted gold design on the bodice, accompanied by an encrusted heavy silk shawl.

Bridesmaids were Jodie and Jaqueline Sutton (bride's nieces), Megan and Chloe Fletcher and Teigan Harries (friends' daughters).

The chief bridesmaids wore deep burgundy taffeta, which was picked up in the bodices of the small bridesmaids, who were dressed primarily in ivory with burgundy embroidery.

These matched the waistcoats and cravats of the page boys, Dylan and Daniel (bride's brothers). Daniel was also the ring bearer.

Best man was David Mitchell (groom's friend), and the ushers were Craig Sutton (bride's brother) and Allan Bevan (groom's friend).

After the ceremony, which was conducted by the Rev. Victor Millgate, a wedding breakfast and evening party were held at the Begelly Arms Hotel.

Later in the year, the couple will honeymoon in the Far East.

They will make their home in Lydstep.
