Married recently at Gilead Chapel, Maidenwells, were Mr. Martin Mathias and Miss Nicky Thomas. The groom is the youngest son of Paul and Cathy Mathias, of Sardis, while the bride, a customer service assistant, is the only daughter of Elizabeth and the late Adrian Thomas, of Hundleton. The bride, given away by her brother, Jonathan Thomas, wore a white satin designer gown with a sweetheart neckline encrusted with crystals. The skirt was beautifully gathered on one side, showing delicate crystals on tulle. The gown was complemented by a cathedral-length veil and silver tiara. The bride carried a structured ed modern shower bouquet of white roses, crystals and white feathers. Bridesmaids were Fiona Richards and Zara Colley (bride's cousins) and Laura Milson (groom's cousin). Best men were Jason Mathias and John Burgess and the usher was Alex Colley (bride's cousin). The ring bearer was Joshua Colley. The service was conduced by Rev. Martin Evans and was followed by a reception at the Holyland Country House Hotel, where the couple arrived in a horse and carriage. The couple, who have made their home in Hundleton, are spending their honeymoon in the Caribbean later in the year.
