Married at St. Jeffrey and St. Oswald's Church, Jeffreyston, on Saturday, December 15, were Mr. Daniel David Cherry and Miss Claire Louise Hughes.

The groom, who is the operations manager for Glamorgan County Cricket Club, is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Cherry, of Sleepy Hollow, Broadmoor, while the bride, a senior radiographer at the Princess of Wales Hospital in Bridgend, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Talfan Hughes, of The Dingle Farm, St.Florence.

Given away by her father, the bride looked stunning in a Maggie Sottero full-length gown in diamond white with crystal detail embroidery.

Bridesmaids were Kimberley Griffiths, Nerys Hicks (bride's friends) and Laura Williams (groom's cousin). They wore full-length emerald green dresses.

Flower girl was Carys Hughes (bride's niece) and page boys were Meru and Zak Hughes (bride's nephews).

Best man was Damian Arthur (groom's friend), while the ushers were David and Richard Hughes (bride's brothers) and Simon Cole (groom's friend). The ceremony was conducted by Father Paul Davies and was followed by a reception at The Broadway Country House, Laugharne.

The couple will be spending their honeymoon in The Maldives before returning to make their home in Pencoed.
