St. Michael's and All Angels Church, Cosheston, was the setting for the wedding on Saturday of civil engineers Mr. Douglas Alexander Mills and Miss Samantha Maria Robinson.
The couple met at the University of Surrey in Guildford, where they were studying on the same civil engineering course, but they did not get together until after graduating.
The groom is the eldest son of Alan Alexander Byron Mills and Diana Isobel Mills, of Pine Road, Chandlersford, Hampshire, while the bride is the eldest daughter of Alec Martyn Robinson and Elzbieta Josefa Robinson, of East Farm, Cosheston.
Given away by her father, the bride wore a champagne coloured fitted mermaid gown in taffeta cangiante and French lace. The strapless bodice had a braided overlay of French lace, delicately beaded with tiny crystals and sequins, while the skirt had a beaded lace overlay with godet inserts and led into a sweep train.
Bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Hannah and Janine.
Best man was Ben Glover, while the ushers were Andrew Mills (brothers), Rob Curtis and Ian Stafford.
The service was conducted by Rev. Robert Gordon and was followed by a reception at Beggars Reach Country Hotel.
