The wedding of Mr. David Robert Powell and Miss Sally Joanne Rodham took place on May 21 at St. Mary's Church, Carew Cheriton.

The groom, a chartered surveyor, is the son of Robert and Audrey Powell, of Raglan in Monmouthshire, while the bride, an environmental consultant, is the daughter of John and Janice Rodham, of Sageston.

Given away by her father, the bride looked stunning in a designer strapless gown with jewelled side gathers and a chapel length train.

Bridesmaids were Emily Rodham (bride's sister) and Deborah Jeffrey (bride's friend), who both wore marine blue strapless designer dresses.

Page boy was Jack Irwin (bride's nephew), while flower girl Cerys Williams-Powell (best man's daughter) wore a fleur petal ivory dress.

Best man was Simon Powell (groom's friend).

Local choir Quaynotes sang 'We'll Keep a Welcome in the Hillside' and 'Love Changes Everything' during the service and Suzanne James (bride's cousin) performed two solo violin pieces during the signing of the registers.

The wedding reception and evening party were held at the Giltar Hotel, Tenby.

The bride and groom, who honeymooned in the Lake District, will be making their home in Monmouth.
