Carew Wesley Methodist Chapel was the setting for the wedding on Saturday, May 5, of Mr. Peter Stephen Albert Orry and Dr. Emily Gray, who met at Exeter University 10 years ago. The groom, a civil servant, is the son of William and Eve Orry, of Maidstone, Kent, while the bride, a clinical psychologist, is the daughter of Mrs. Trish Gray, of Carew, and Mr. Colin Gray, of Barnetby, North Lincolnshire. Given away by her father, the bride wore a pale ivory chiffon strapless dress which featured a sweetheart neckline and beaded embroidery detail. The dress also had a corset tie back and a train. Bridesmaids were the bride's sisters Helen Bullock (nee Gray) and Katherine Gray, her best friend Beth Hopkins and the groom's sister Jacqueline Orry. They wore blueberry coloured silk empire line dresses with sweetheart necklines. Best man was Dr. Andrew Orry (groom's brother), while ushers were Pete Mulcahy, Jon Mansell, Paul Nixon and Lloyd Thomas (all university friends of the couple). Witnesses were Dr. Andrew Orry (groom's brother) and Ms Rebecca O'Connell (university friend). The service was conducted by Rev. Anthony Gregory MBE. Readings in the chapel were given by Claire Bullock and Claire Davies (school friends of the bride) and Jenna Baker and Elaine Malby (university friends of the couple). A string trio, Richard Tiller, Gabby Herrick and Jonathan Tiller, also played during the service. A reception was held in a marquee with sea view at Castlemead Hotel, Manorbier, where a Pimms reception was followed by a three-course meal and dancing. The couple spent their honeymoon in Croatia and are continuing to reside in London.
