Marlene Price and Shirley Draper each received a bouquet of flowers this week after retiring from their volunteering role at Paul Sartori’s Tenby store in which they gave five years of hard work and dedication to help fundraise for the Paul Sartori Hospice at home.

Kathy Pollard, Tenby’s volunteer manager, said: “Volunteers are so vital within our stores to help raise money for our hospice at home service. Without them, we simply would not be able to run our stores and keep them open.”

She added: “Our volunteers really enjoy being part of a team and have so much fun while meeting new people, plus helping a great charity like ours. On behalf Paul Sartori, I would like to wish Marlene and Shirley a very happy retirement and to thank them so much for everything they have done for us.”

There are now spaces for new volunteers to come on board in Tenby and Paul Sartori would like to appeal to anyone who would like to join their dynamic team.

“We are appealing to all individuals locally who are out of work, retired, work full or part-time and are able to spare a few hours a week,” said Caroline White, Paul Sartori’s volunteering co-ordinator for the Paul Sartori Foundation, adding: “If anyone is interested in volunteering at Tenby or at any of our stores across Pembrokeshire, then call us on 01437 763223 for a chat to find out more.”
