Haverfordwest's status as the top Farmers Market in the UK has been confirmed. The fortnightly attraction was chosen as the Farmers' Market of the Year at the National Farmers' Retail and Markets Association in Harrogate in November. The competition judges found that the market represented an excellent working relationship between its organiser - Pembrokeshire County Council - the town centre management and the market's landlord, the Riverside Shopping Centre. The awards are sponsored by Zapp Canopy Umbrellas and the prize of a farmers' market umbrella was presented at a recent market to County Council leader, Clr. John Davies.
