Carew's historic mill takes on a distinctly maritime flavour during the Seafair Haven events later this month.
On Monday afternoon (June 26) several traditional craft will take advantage of the high tide to sail and row right up the Carew tributary to the Mill and Causeway. The Mill - which is run by the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority - will remain open to visitors into the evening.
On both Sunday and Monday, June 25 and 26, the West Wales Maritime Heritage Society will be staging a traditional boats display inside the Mill.
"This will include an actual boat and exhibits on local seafaring," said Des Brown, of Carew Mill. "There are other activities planned, including music and dance displays by the Carreg Las Border Morris-side Dancers, from Abercych. These take place throughout Sunday."
On the Monday, ranger Tim Jones will be leading Park activities between 1.30 and 4 pm. It is also hoped that water ranger John Warneford will be bringing the water ranger's RIB up the Carew River to the Mill that day.
