LONDON Marathon entrant, Miranda Barrett (nee Rees), of Tenby, has had to withdraw from this year's event after injuring herself during training.
Miranda suffered achilles tendonitis at the beginning of last month which still hasn't healed.
"Because of this I've had to withdraw from the marathon as there is no way I'd be able to run it and would probably cause further damage by just walking it," said Miranda.
"I'm absolutely gutted as I spent all that time training and now won't be able to run it, but the fundraising concert is still going ahead on March 25 as I still really want to raise money for the British Heart Foundation."
The concert is at 7.30 pm at St. Mary's Church, Tenby, and is entitled 'Songs from the Heart - a concert in aid of the British Heart Foundation'. Entry is £5 and all proceeds will go to the British Heart Foundation.
