Sir, Barnardo's Cymru would like to issue a marathon challenge to your readers. We need people from Pembrokeshire to help us raise some much-needed funds for our work. For the past six years, Barnardo's has organised the Cardiff Marathon and Half Marathon where runners raise thousands of pounds for a vast number of different charities. We are asking your readers to consider taking part in this October's event on behalf of Barnardo's Cymru. I am sure that many of your readers are keen on keeping fit and would find extra motivation in setting themselves the target of taking part in the half-marathon or full marathon in Cardiff. Of course, by doing so they will be helping to give children and young people supported by Barnardo's in your area, the best possible start in life and the chance to reach their full potential.
