When Anne Pugh reached the magic age of 60, instead of putting her feet up, she decided to take on a new challenge to run the Cardiff Half Marathon.

Anne, who is manager at New Hedges Post Office, had never been a runner before, but wanted to see if she was up to the task.

Having decided to run, Anne thought about fund-raising for a local charity and decided to raise funds for the Pembrokeshire Sandy Bears Bereavement and Loss Service

This local organisation aims to provide intervention to children and young people aged 0-18 (and their families) who have suffered a bereavement or loss.

Having completed the Cardiff Half Marathon in a very creditable time of two hours 57 minutes, Anne raised £600 for the Sandy Bears.

Anne is pictured with her daughter Joanne who also completed the run.
