Sir, I would like to thank your newspaper and its readers for supporting Cancer Research UK Cymru during this year's Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October). Articles prinited in the Tenby, Narberth and Whitland Observer helped enormously to raise both the profile of the 'All Women Together' fund- raising campaign, and awareness of the disease. Scores of events, ranging from traditional raffles to aqua-aerobics and pink tea parties took place in the area. I would like to thank all those who gave up their time and money to support us. The money raised will be used to fund all aspects of research into breast cancer, from investigating its causes to finding new and better treaments for the future. Each year, Cancer Research UK dedicates £20 million into researching the disease, which affects 41,000 women each year. The total raised in the locality has not yet been calculated, but thousands of pounds have already been collected. Anyone wishing to forward money should send cheques, made payable to Cancer Research UK Cymru, to the charity at Hamilton Court, 373 Cowbridge Road East, Cardiff. Anyone wanting more information on Cancer Research UK, can contact me on 07918 197 230. Once again, thank you for your continued support.
