Manorbier Girls Under 16s turned on the skill in very difficult conditions away at Dafen on Sunday, winning the match by an impressive 8-0.

Following the previous week's win in the league cup, when the girls were well below par, poor Dafen met them on a day with something to prove.

The midfield dynamo of Hannah Lewis and Angharad James was back on top form and provided six of the eight goals (Lewis four and James two), the goal of the game coming from James from a seemingly impossible angle. The other goals were scored by Haley Lewis and Sam Lewtas.

Special mention should be given to Rachel Hughes, who did everything but score, but lady luck was not on her side.

Dafen were not a bad side by any means, but on this form Manorbier are a match for anyone.

Manorbier Under 16s are sponsored by The Sports Council for Wales and Tesco.
