The annual Manorbier Open Gardens Event in aid of St. James Church will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday, June 15. Visitors will be treated to an assortment of some 12 beautiful gardens ranging from traditional cottage and rose gardens to a walled garden, a scree garden, flower and vegetable gardens as well as a Postage Stamp garden and one open to the full blow of the Atlantic. Enjoy a strawberry cream tea overlooking the sea in Castle Mead's garden or a glass of wine or a pimms at the licensed bar at the cottage garden. All the gardens participating are in Manorbier village and will be open from 1 to 6.30 pm. Admission (which includes all the gardens) is £2.50 per adult, children are free. A notice will be displayed at each participating garden and those wishing to attend can simply purchase a map at the event's temporary car park opposite the plant stall, outside La Casita on Pembroke Road, where teas will also be available.
