A 24-year-old man was fined £100 by magistrates this week after he admitted possessing 100.5 grammes of cannabis resin.

Stuart Owen Morris was found in possession of the drugs when he was stopped by police in Pentlepoir on July 28, the court sitting in Tenby heard on Tuesday.

Morris, of Cartref, West Lane Close, Keeston, admitted the drugs were for his own use and that he had a "high cannabis dependency."

Morris, who had bought the cannabis resin for £250 because he could get a better price for buying in bulk, used the drug to help him sleep and relax, the bench was told.

As well as the fine, Morris was ordered to pay £50 costs and a destruction order was made for the drugs.
