A 59-year-old holidaymaker was taken ill whilst on Saundersfoot beach on Friday.

Lifeguards and coastguards went to the aid of the man from Magor who was suffering chest pains at around 2 pm.

The man was evacuated from the beach in the coastguard vehicle before being taken to hospital by ambulance.
