A holidaymaker had to be rescued by the coastguard cliff rescue team after he suffered an attack of vertigo whilst fishing on rocks near Manorbier.
The 63-year-old gentleman got into difficulties on Thursday when he was fishing between Manorbier Beach and the headland near Priest's Nose.
At approximately 3 pm, the man and his son climbed further up the rocks to continue fishing as the tide had started to come in.
However, the man, who was from Llantrisant and was staying at Angle, suffered an attack of vertigo and was unable to move any further.
Still unable to move several hours later, the man's son raised the alarm shortly before 9 pm and coastguards were dispatched to assist.
Two of the coastguard team made their way along the cliff path to offer reassurance to the man, whilst another team member was lowered down the cliff and helped strap the man into a harness, before coaxing him up the cliff.
Once back on the cliff path, the man was taken across fields to safety.
