A man charged with two counts of robbery and a burglary, in the Whitland, Kilgetty and Pentlepoir areas, last Thursday, has appeared in Haverfordwest Magistrates Court.
Twenty-year-old Tony Smith, of Chestnut Close, Rassau, Ebbw Vale, faced charges in connection with the robberies and one dwelling burglary, that occurred between late afternoon and the evening of October 24, when he appeared in court on Tuesday morning.
Dyfed-Powys Police said that in all three incidents elderly people were targeted, and one of the victims sustained minor injury.
Smith was not granted bail by magistrates and remanded in custody. He will appear at a further hearing in Swansea Crown Court today (Friday).
A twenty-two-year-old man, also arrested in connection with the incidents, has been released on bail, while police state that they would also like to speak to a third man in connection with the robbery and burglary at Whitland and Pentlepoir, 19-year-old John Henry Hearne, who is from the Brynmawr area in Gwent.
"If members of the public can help locate this individual, please do not approach him and call police immediately on 999," said a police spokesperson.
"Thankfully incidents such as these are very uncommon in the Dyfed-Powys area, but if they do occur the police take them extremely seriously and investigate thoroughly to bring any offenders to justice.
"We are providing the victims with support and our Bobby Van scheme is providing free security measures in the properties affected," they added.
