A local man appeared in court this week charged with attempted murder. He was 39-year-old Gerwyn Reynolds, of Llanddewi Velfrey, who was arrested following a stabbing incident involving his parents at their farmhouse on Saturday. The husband and wife were treated at Morriston Hospital following the incident, but their injuries were not thought to be life threatening. Mr. Reynolds, who was remanded in custody by Llanelli magistrates on Monday, will next appear at Swansea Crown Court on November 20. Police, meanwhile, are appealing for any person who may have witnessed the incident or who was travelling on the Llanddewi Velfrey road leading to Llanboidy between 7.45 and 8.05 that evening to contact them on 0845 3302000 and ask for Pembroke Dock or Haverfordwest Police Stations. They particularly would like to trace the female driver of a small silver coloured car, which travelled in the direction Llanboidy.
