A Kilgetty man was in a critical condition in hospital and his wife was stable yesterday (Thursday) after they were involved in a road accident outside Bethesda Chapel at the weekend.

Pedestrians Wynford and Clare Reynolds were leaving the chapel on the A478 Tenby to Kilgetty road on Sunday night when they came into contact with a Ford Escort being driven in the direction of Wooden.

Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds were taken to Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest, with serious injuries.

The driver and front seat passenger of the Escort were also taken to Withybush where they were treated for shock.

The accident occurred at approximately 7.25 pm, with the road being closed for almost 12 hours.
