Accused of perverting the course of justice after allegedly confessing to murdering a holidaymaker who disappeared 18 months ago, a Pembroke Dock man has appeared before Haverfordwest magistrates. A crown prosecutor told the court that earlier this year the defendant had given police a graphic account of how he, with the help of his girlfriend, had killed 27-year-old James Nutley, who went missing after a night out in Tenby. The prosecutor said that this confession later turned out to be entirely untrue. A spokesman for Dyfed Powys Police said: "We are not treating this as a murder investigation. It is still a missing persons inquiry. A man has been charged with perverting the course of justice." No plea was entered and the case was committed to Swansea Crown Court.
